This walking tour features five architecturally diverse homes and their gardens throughout the Marshall Heights neighborhood in the town of Orange. The gardens are well-established, featuring ancient tree-lined paths and pollinator favorites. Visitors will enjoy touring a real kit house, a secluded home and garden with an unexpected orientation, as well as a secret garden offering an awe-inspiring view. Nearby is Montpelier, home of James Madison, and one of the Garden Club of Virginia’s restoration properties.

What's Happening in Taylor Park?

Taylor Park in Orange, VA has been a community project for Dolley Madison Garden Club for many years.
DMGC's Community Projects Committee replenishes and tends to the flowers in 10+ large pots in the park.

Maybe these two canines aren't "official" Dolley Madison Garden Club members but they  were a great help in tending to the flowers. (Photo credit: A. Malloy)

What's that on Pump House Hill? It is the lotus sculpture that was previously in the park fountain. The sculpture was a gift to the Town of Orange in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Dolley Madison Garden Club in 2019. After a major refurbishment the sculpture has returned. Still in Taylor Park it now overlooks all of those enjoying a beautiful day in the park.  (Photo credit: H. McCullough)
